Maryland County Senator J. Gbleh-bo Brown has officially dedicated a series of major development projects throughout the county. These initiatives, completed during his Easter break visit, reinforce his ongoing commitment to modernizing infrastructure and enhancing the livelihoods of his constituents.
The newly unveiled projects span several communities and address diverse local needs. In Manolu, the Senator dedicated a modern town hall designed to serve as a central hub for local governance and community engagement. This facility provides residents with a professional space to deliberate on development issues and strengthen civic participation.
Economic infrastructure also received a significant boost with the completion of a new market facility in Boniken. This project is expected to transform trading conditions for local vendors by offering a more organized, safe, and hygienic environment for commerce.
In Harper, the Senator addressed the needs of the academic community by establishing the first-ever campus-based modern bus stop at William V. S. Tubman University. This addition marks a major milestone for the institution, significantly improving transportation convenience for students, staff, and visitors alike.

During the dedication ceremonies, Senator Brown, who also serves as Chairman of the Maryland County Legislative Caucus, emphasized the importance of equitable development. He noted that his initiatives are specifically aimed at addressing the practical, everyday needs of citizens. “As leaders, it is our responsibility to ensure that development reaches every community, regardless of its location,” he stated, reaffirming his pledge to prioritize programs that directly impact ordinary Liberians.
The projects have been warmly received by residents, who described them as timely interventions that will contribute to regional growth and improved living standards.
The university project, in particular, drew praise from former student leadership. Dell Johnson, the immediate past President of the Tubman University Student Government Association, expressed her gratitude for the Senator’s responsiveness. Johnson noted that the student body had lobbied for the bus stop during her tenure and that Senator Brown fully funded the project. During the ceremony, the Senator personally acknowledged Johnson’s advocacy, a gesture the former student leader described as deeply appreciated, and urged the student body to use and care for the new facility.
These latest developments are part of a broader strategy by Senator Brown to prioritize infrastructure, educational support, and economic empowerment across the landscape of Maryland County.
