Representative Kolubah Bitters With Speaker Chambers, Accuses Him Of Being Bias

Montserrado County District 10 lawmaker, Yekeh Kolubah

The fracas between some members of the House of Representatives and the Speaker of the House, Bhofal Chambers seems endless, as Montserrado Representative of District # 10, Yekeh Kolubah continue to voice out his attacks on the Speaker’s biases in that august House.

Speaking recently a local radio station, the Sky FM, talk show ’50-50’, Representative Kolubah said the Speaker is insensately of the plight of the Liberian people, stressing that Speaker Chambers using his authority to suppress his (Kolubah) concern for the people of  District #10.

According to Kolubah, Speaker Chambers agenda of the House doesn’t includes any of his concerns and the Speaker also refuses to recognize him when he has a point to make in session.

He believes that the lack of respect for the House from members of the public results from the way the House is being conducted by Speaker Chambers.

He cautions that Liberians will hold lawmakers responsible for not proceeding the right way and for their failure to tell the president where he is going wrong.

The Montserrado Rep. threatens to apply his legal authority since he cannot be recognized by the Speaker.

Kolubah concludes that the rules of the House of Representatives state that the Speaker should not use the power he has to suppress any of his colleagues.
