Public Reactions in the Death of Princess Cooper, As Police Declares ‘No Foul play’ In Her ‘Mysterious Death’
Another Liberian has been reportedly murdered in cold blood, but the Liberia National Police says there has been ‘No Foul Play’ in the death of Princess Cooper, 25, whose lifeless body was discovered in a pool of blood in the compound of Fawar Construction Materials store at ELWA Junction in Paynesville, Monrovia.
Addressing reporters in Monrovia on Friday, March 25, 2022, the spokesman of the Liberia National Police Moses Carter, said an initial examination carried out on the lifeless body at the John F. Kennedy Hospital Mortuary; there was no laceration or bruises.
According to spokesman Carter, several persons including employees and security officers providing services at the facility where the lifeless body of Princess was discovered, are being interrogated at the Headquarters of the Liberia National Police.
The deceased was a resident of Tweh Farm Community on Bushrod Island in District #16, Montserrado County.
With this latest mysterious death, Liberians have sharply reacted, expressing their disgust over the numbers of mysterious deaths in the country, for his part, reacting to this latest report, and the statement of the Liberia National Police, Emmanuel Gonquoi, Commender-In-Chief of Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia (EFFL) said unconfirmed initial LNP investigative report regarding the unfortunate and untimely death of this young lady that we are hearing from Police sources are discouraging.
Adding that the police need to go beyond their usual funfair and behave responsibly for a moment as state security.
“We need full and details investigation because our mothers and sisters deserve better protection in Liberia. Hope this is not another Odell Sharman form of investigation from LNP and the Ministry of Justice. We need Justice for Ms. Cooper!!!”
Also reacting to this report by the police, noting that there has been no foul paly in te death of this young Liberian woman, Matthew Nyanplu, a resident of Monrovia asked: “So who killed the young woman at ELWA junction? Is the country becoming this dangerous? Of course, we know the LNP is playing with security. They are not fit for purpose. No deterrence to these callous acts. Our people are not safe.
Henry P. Costa, Liberian talk show host said, “A beautiful young lady, Princess Cooper, was murdered in cold blood yesterday in Liberia. Lord, what’s happening to our country?! We will cry and cry demanding justice for her but sadly we might never know who ended her young life. This is deeply disturbing. We demand speedy justice for her!
Liberians who spoke to the GNN questioned the police as to what is actually happening in Liberia nowadays for the untimely deaths of innocent Liberians.
