PROPHET SOLOMON GODPOWER DOUGBE URGES CHRISTIANS TO OVERCOME LIMITATIONS AND ACHIEVE DIVINE PURPOSE
By Kaipee Luther Newray
MONROVIA, Liberia: A Liberian cleric, Solomon Godpower. Dougbe has called on Christians to overcome limitations and remain focused on fulfilling God’s divine purpose for their lives.
Delivering a sermon recently, during a four-day revival held under the theme “Breaking the Spell of Curse” at the Jesus Miraculous Healing Ministry in the Police Academy community, Prophet Dougbe encouraged believers to break free from spiritual barriers and pursue record-breaking success.
According to the founder and general overseer of the Faith Prayer and Prophetic Fellowship, individuals living under the spell of limitation are often controlled by others who make decisions on their behalf without considering their opinions or contributions.
“A limited person is frequently controlled by other people who make decisions for them without their inputs. Your voice comes out with fire because you carry the spell of limitation,” Prophet Dougbe told the congregation. He further asserted that some people face spiritual opposition from individuals who seek to hinder their progress whenever God attempts to elevate them.
“In your family, there are people who carry your records. Every time God wants to push you forward, they monitor you. But every time God steps into your case, you will break records,” he declared.
Quoting the Book of Jeremiah, Prophet Dougbe reminded worshippers that God knows and appoints individuals for specific purposes even before they are born. “God said in Jeremiah, ‘I knew you when you were in your mother’s womb.’ “When God chooses you for a purpose, nobody can deny it.
They may delay it, but they cannot stop it,” he said. The cleric noted that people often mistreat or undervalue those destined for greatness, especially when they are under spiritual attacks.
He stressed that record-breakers are individuals who endure hardships and challenges before achieving success. Using biblical examples, Prophet Dougbe referenced the stories of David and Goliath as well as Joseph the Dreamer, describing them as examples of record-breakers who overcame adversity to fulfil their destinies. “People do not always appreciate record-breakers in their families, workplaces, and communities.
They are people of value who go through pain before reaching their breakthroughs,” he stated.
He also added that those who are rejected or betrayed by people today may eventually become main sources of help and inspiration to those who once opposed them.
“Joseph had a story to tell. Those who sold him later came back to him in need. Likewise, those who reject you today may one day sit with you and ask for help,” Prophet Dougbe concluded.
