President Weah Says ‘ANC Lied’ On Simeon Davies For The Reported Missing Of $70K
As investigation ongoing at the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) where it was reported last year, 2022 that one of its drivers Simeon Davies allegedly took away US$70,000 which was intended to fund the December 17, 2022 ‘We Tiya Rally’, and is currently under probe at the Liberia National Police headquarters, President George Manneh Weah has publicly exonerated the accused, noting he has been lied on by the ANC.
Speaking last Sunday at the Forky Klon Jlateh Family Fellowship Church in Paynesville, the Liberian leader mocking at members of the opposition Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) amid thunderous applaud from the congregation, President Weah emphasized that they lied on this poor boy that he stole US$70,000.00 from the CPP.
With this latest revelation by the Liberian leader, many are wondering as to why the President is making such statement amid an ongoing investigation by the police to establish the facts surrounding the alleged missing money.
The CPP, in a statement, stated that the missing fund was reported by Deputy Secretary Martin Kollah who was the custodian of the money before its disappearance., and further announced that the money was stolen by his driver by the name of Simeon G. Davis.
The CPP, at the same time, has called on the Liberia National Police to also handle its investigation into the matter with utmost urgency so as to bring the alleged culprit(s) to justice.
