President Weah Identifies With Muslims In Grand Cape Mount County -Wants Liberia Place At Center Of Ramadan Prayers

As Muslims around the world are observing the fast Month of Ramadan 2019, Liberian leader, H. E. Dr. George Manneh Weah has identified with Liberian Muslims in the Western part of the country.

Over the weekend, President Weah through his Presidential Special Aid, Hon. Sekou Kalasco Damaro presented several food items and monies to Muslims who are observance the fasting month of Ramadan at the Bo Waterside Central Mosque in Grand Cape Mount County.

In a message during the presentation of food consignment containing fifty (50) bags of rice, five (5) tin of oil, two (2) bags of sugar and 50,000 Liberian Dollars , the Liberian leader thanked the Liberian Muslim Community for their roles to always stand in the gap of praying for Liberians, the government and nation especially this year’s fasting Month of Ramadan.

President Weah said his government is committed to promoting religious tolerance, peace and economy empowerment through the Liberian nation thereby calling on those who charged with the responsibilities of playing major roles at various religious centers and the Liberian society to remain committed to sustaining the place of Liberia.

He said no country can advance in national development if that nation and its people are not peaceful; as such, he urged Muslims in Grand Cape Mount County and other parts of Liberia to place Liberia first in every endeavor especially doing the period of Ramadan.

The Liberian leader, through his Special Aid (Hon. Sekou Kalasco Damaro) noted that President Weah and the government is fully open to working with every Liberian citizens, religious community, political groups and leaders to ensure that Liberia remains peaceful and stable, concluding that the people of Bo Waterside and Grand Cape Mount County in general will not be forgetting in the government’s developmental agenda.

Receiving the items from the Special Presidential Aid, the Bo Waterside Central Mosque, Imam Lamine Paasewe commanded President Weah for remembering Muslims especially those who are observing the fasting Month of Ramadan in the town of Bo Waterside.

Imam Paasewe said the gesture of the President to identify with the Muslim community in Liberia especially those at Bo Waterside in Grand Cape Mounty County doing the time of Ramadan will go down in history in the life of Liberian Muslims in the country.

The donation made by President Dr. George Manneh Weah to Muslims in Bo Waterside Grand Cape Mount County is part of the Liberian leader desire to continue identifying with Muslims in Liberia doing the time of Ramadan throughout the world.
