President Boakai Attends National Prayer Breakfast Hosted by the Christian Community

January 24, 2025, Executive Mansion Monrovia – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., today joined members of the Christian Community and national stakeholders at the National Prayer Breakfast, held under the theme, “Lord, Heal Our Land.” The event, which took place at the Monrovia City Hall at 8:00 a.m., brought together leaders from all sectors of society to seek divine intervention for peace, unity, and progress in Liberia.

The theme of the prayer breakfast was drawn from 2 Chronicles 7:14, which reads: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land.” This verse set the tone for the heartfelt prayers and reflections offered throughout the service.

In his remarks, President Boakai emphasized the significance of humility, prayer, and collective action in addressing the challenges Liberia faces. He called on all Liberians to embrace reconciliation, seek God’s guidance, and commit to building a brighter future for the nation.

“As we gather under the banner of faith, let us remember that Liberia’s strength lies in our ability to unite as one people, guided by God’s wisdom and love,” President Boakai stated. “Through prayer, repentance, and collaboration, we can achieve healing and transformation for our land.”

The event featured intercessory prayers led by prominent clergy for the nation’s leadership, the preservation of peace, and the spiritual and economic healing of Liberia. It also included scripture readings, praise, and worship, creating an atmosphere of reverence and hope.

The National Prayer Breakfast reflects the administration’s commitment to upholding the nation’s spiritual foundation and fostering partnerships between government and faith-based communities. President Boakai reaffirmed his dedication to inclusive governance that will respect the religious diversity of Liberia.

The Christian Community, as hosts of the prayer breakfast, expressed profound gratitude for the President’s participation, describing his presence as a sign of humility and his commitment to seeking divine guidance for Liberia’s continued renewal.
