PLP Denies Media Report That Its Political Leader, Daniel Cassell Has Been Indicted In U.S.

Dr. Daniel Cassell

Authority of the People’s Liberation Party has publicly rubbished media reports that the party-political leader Dr. Daniel Cassell has been indicted in the United States, describing report as ‘’complete negative propaganda’’, assuring  citizens members of the party and citizens of his possible return to Liberia in the near future

It can be recalled on Wednesday, September 21, some newspapers and online platforms in Monrovia reported that Dr. Cassell, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey based mental health, behavioral, and substance abuse agencies, Kwenyan Professional Health Services, LLC and Kwenyan and Associates, has been formally indicted by a Grand Jury in the United States.

But reacting to the information, PLP through a release issued Sunday evening said the information of Dr. Cassell indictment is a propaganda orchestrated by some individuals who the party referred to as failed politicians.

PLP also described the individuals as wicked and failed politicians in Liberia, who remain uncompromised and committed to keeping Liberia and its citizens underdeveloped and living in abject poverty.

The party release, which is signed by its National Chairman Tapple Doe, clarifies that  indictment is not a guilty verdict, but a process of proceeding to trial; as such, the PLP political leader remains innocent until proven guilty in a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States.
