Philadelphia City Mayor Appoints Voffee Jabateh On ‘Complete Count Committee’

The Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, James F. Kenney has with immediate effect appointed Mr. Voffee Jabateh to the Philadelphia Complete Count Committee which guides and supports the efforts of Philly Counts 2020.

This committee represents many of Philadelphia’s special interest communities and hard-to-count populations, its members make recommendations to help the count reach every community, including:    Suggestions for outreach methods and activities, support for filling census jobs with people from each hard-to-count community and  Ideas for financial and community support.

In a letter to Mr. Jabateh dated March 29, 2019, Mayor Kenney said, “ I am writing to inform you that I am appointing you to the Philadelphia Complete Count Committee, the residents of this city and I are grateful to you for taking on this very important work. I often say that we are truly happy when we are in service to others, and I appreciate you answering this call to serve our wonderful city,” the Philadelphia City Mayor in his letter to Mr. Jabateh noted.

Voffee Saye Jabateh is the founder and chief executive officer of the African Cultural Alliance of North America, Inc. (ACANA), an organization which has over the years and up to date providing humanitarian services to foreign nationals and Americans in west and southwest Philadelphia.

Mr. Jabateh’s numerous contributions through his organization; the ACANA by bringing sanity to the neediest in the Americas has been appreciated thus grading him as one of those Liberians whose work has being accepted worldwide.
