Pharmaceutical Association of Liberia gears for Retreat 2024 in Nimba

A group of health practitioners well known as Pharmaceutical Association of Liberia PAL says massive preparations are underway for the hosting of its Retreat 2024.

The Association is comprised of all pharmacists who have graduated from the School of Pharmacy, have sat the Board test and issued license to operate in Liberia.

The pending gathering of pharmacists including other health workers is expected from November 27-30 2024 in the city of Ganta Nimba County and will place of the table gains, challenges and prospects.

” The health gathering further foster unity amongst Pharmacists who remain medication experts and customstodians of medicines and medical supplies, three officials of narrated “.

The PAL 2024 Ganta Retreat is under theme: Bridging the gap, building a resilient Pharmaceutical Association.

Officials of the pharmaceutical Association of Liberia speaking about the upcoming event said it will focus on reconciliation, its Headquarters construction, challenges faced by colleagues especially in the rural parts who are making immerse sacrifices to the health sector.

The officials included Dr. Juwe D. Kercula, PAL President, Dr. Morrison A Tamba Sr. Chairman, Media and Publicity and Dr. Humphrey B. Taylor, Co- Chair, Media and Publicity.

They also revealed reviewing of the pharmaceutical sector of Liberia, regulation and polices, illegal entry of drugs and other medical supplies through land borders, will all be discussed.

” Professional code of ethics for pharmacists including Clinical Pharmacists and renumeration we expected to highlight ay the retreat, they intimated a live interview with Truth FM”.

The PAL officials indicated after discussions pertinent to the growth and development of the Association, resolution will be presented to the country’s authorities and other relevant stakeholders for possible actions.

Presentations on regulations amongst others will be made by the Head of the Liberia Medicines Health Regulatory Authority and the Chairman of the Pharmacy Board.

PAL puts it’s members strength at about three hundred, while recounting the significant extensive roles they continue to play in the country’s health care system.

The PAL officials recalled their importance with vast knowledge in the composition of various drugs and proper application which is key in restoring a patient’s health expertise on how to qualify and quantify on a monthly and quarterly basis.

” As strategic members of the health sector, the retreat will afford us the opportunity to amplify seeking the welfare of pharmacists and ensure proper professional pharmaceutical practices are adhered to, the health explained “.

They concluded that the gathering will bring together MOH authorities and partners, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Board Chairman of PAL, Nimba county Health Team, as well as the county leadership by its Superintendent among others.
