Over 75 LCCC Aggrieved Academic Staffs On Indefinite Go-Slow

VOINJAMA, (LINA) – Normal learning activities at the Lofa County Community College (LCCC), located on the outskirts of Voinjama City, have come to a stand-still for the third day following an indefinite go-slow action staged by over 75 instructional staffs.

The aggrieved staff began their action last Friday following the presentation of a seven count resolution to the Administration of the Lofa County Community College (LCCC), In their resolution presented to the Administration of the LCCC, they are demanding the school to reinstate the payment of their housing and research allowances, uniform pay structure and also pay them according to their degrees, among others

The LCCC workers said they have on numerous occasions told the Administration of the college in meetings about their seven count resolution but to no avail.

They, therefore, threatened not to return to the classrooms until their concerns are addressed by the Administration of the college.

Meanwhile, students attending the LCCC have given an 48-hour ultimatum to the Administration of the LCCC, county authorities, Board of the college, state actors in Lofa County to address the concerns of the over 75 aggrieved staff or else they will disrupt all learning activities in other colleges and high schools across Lofa County.
