NLA Rescues Woman, 37, Suffering From Ear, Eye Cancer To India For Advanced Treatment

The National Lottery Authority (NLA) through its Director General Reginald Kpan Nagbe has aided a 37 years old woman who has been suffering from eye and ear cancer to seek medical treatment in India by providing her a round-trip Air Ticket.

Director Nagbe said Madam Linda Poquee who residing in Harbel, Margibi County, is a Senior Student at the University of Liberia and has been battling cancer in her left eye and right ear for more than a year.

According to   Director   Nagbe the air-ticket to Madam Linda Poquee will afford her to seek advanced treatment, noting that such kind gesture on the part of the NLA comes as a result of an SOS call made recently by the ailing Liberian lady.

He said Linda Poquee appeared on several radio stations late September, 2022 seeking assistance for advanced medical treatment abroad.

Director Nagbe noted that Madam Linda Poquee health condition is critical and urgent and the Authority swift intervention to save her life is necessary.

Director Nagbe pray that God almighty will lead her through a successful surgery while in India, the gesture was done late week, he said.

Receiving the round-trip air-ticket in a jubilant mood, Madam Linda Poquee lauded President of the Republic of Liberia H.E. Dr. George M. Weah for his continue support to humanity

Madam Linda Poquee also appreciated the National Lottery Authority, Board of Directors and Management team including the staff of NAL for the lifesaving gesture and prayed God’s continued blessings and grace.
