Nigerian Musical Icon, Flavour N’abania Reveals Why He Choose To Work With Young Liberian Blind Singer Semah

One of Nigeria’s successful musical stars, Chinedu Okoli popularly known as Flavour N’abania or simply Flavour who year ago adopted  a young Liberian blind singer, Semeh G Weifur has revealed to his fellow compatriots the reason why this young Liberian was chosen.

In a chat with Saturday Beats in Nigeria, the singer noted that when it comes to music, there are no limitations, noting “I was introduced to Semah through Masterkraft and traditional Queen Ruler, Juli Endee, during my trip to Liberia last year. Semah performed at the Liberia Peace Cultural Centre. His vocals, intonation and confidence blew me away.

“When it comes to music, impairments do not exist, as for me, music is spiritual. Therefore, there are no limitations as to whom I choose to work with.

He however opened up that working with Semah has taught him so much about humility. He said the boy exudes so much confidence one wouldn’t believe he is just in his early teenage years.

“Working with Semah has been incredibly humbling. He is a vibrant young boy, who at a young age is very sure about himself and confident.

I admire these qualities, which have made it a pleasure to work with him. I haven’t really experienced any challenge working with Semah. He doesn’t allow his visual impairment to hinder him in any way,”

Flavour said, “Speaking of his greatest achievement as a singer so far, the high-life musician simply, to date, I’ve been blessed with so many awards and accolades for my music. The greatest achievement for me is that my music has given me wonderful opportunities to contribute positively to different African communities especially through philanthropy.”
