UPDATE: NEC Releases First Provisional Results In The Just Ended By-Elections Declares Dillion And Kamara As Winners

Liberia’s Elections Commission has released the first provisional results of the just ended senatorial and representative in Montserrado County with opposition Mr. Abraham Darius Dillon of the Liberty Party taken the lead in the senatorial race capturing 53,270 votes which represents 53.88% while the ruling party candidate Abu Kamara in the lead with 5,514 votes which amount for 45.95%

Releasing the election results, National Elections Commission (NEC) Chairman, Jerome Korkoya said Paulita Wie captured 36,531 votes representing while Abu Kamara receive 5,515 votes. This disclosure by the NEC Chairman has now put to rest of the ruling party celebrating that it is in the lead.

The next result will be announced on a later date.
