NBCAA Ponders Over MoU Between Western Cluster And Liberian Gov’t  Writes Senator Morris Saytumah

The National Bomi County Association in the Americas/Bomi-USA’s (NBCAA) is seriously expressing concern of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Liberia and Western Cluster Limited, dated April 12, 2022 (MOU) and its authorized three (3) year Road User Permit # : RUP – 220620- 004 dated June 20, 2022 (Permit) entered into between the Ministry of Public Works (on behalf of the people of Bomi County) and Western Cluster Limited a statement noted.

In a statement issued and signed by the President, Musa Willie of the association said, We have learned that the MOU and the Permit for the transportation of iron ore from the Bomi mines to the Freeport in Monrovia, do not clearly communicate the true interests of the people of Bomi County, as evidenced by citizen protests and media outrage. In light of this, NBCAA respectfully demands the Bomi County Legislative Caucus to swiftly investigate this matter in order to safeguard and communicate Bomi County’s best interests.
