National Port Authority Hosts US Coast Guard for ISPS Compliance Drills

Monrovia, Liberia—In accordance with the ISPS Code of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the National Port Authority (NPA) today hosted the United States Coast Guard in a series of compliance drills and monitoring exercises aimed at reinforcing port security and operational resilience.

During the event, Managing Director Sekou A.M. Dukuly warmly welcomed the US Coast Guard representatives, commending their unwavering cooperation and commitment to strengthening Liberia’s port sector. “Their continuous support has been instrumental in shaping a more secure and resilient maritime environment,” said MD Dukuly in his remarks.

The security exercise, which was conducted under the guidance of Col. Famond A. Kanneh, the Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) and Chief Security Executive (CSE) at the NPA, was lauded as a successful demonstration of robust security measures and inter-agency collaboration.

The NPA remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards of port security and is committed to ongoing partnerships that contribute to the safety and efficiency of Liberia’s maritime operations.
