Miss. Earth Liberia Contestants Kick-off Environmental Cleanup Day
Miss. Earth Liberia Contestants, in collaboration with a team from the Monrovia City Corporation, joined by some enthusiastic fans on Saturday, February 1, 2020 kicked off their first Environment Cleanup Day in Central Monrovia aimed at giving Monrovia a facelift. The cleanup exercise started from the Monrovia City Hall through Capitol Hill to the Ministry of Information, which saw contestants sweep the main streets.
According to Miss. Earth Liberia Organizers, the Miss. Earth Liberia is not only about hosting Pageants and displaying beautiful looking persons but is also a Platform for promoting a Clean and Healthy Environment in Liberia. This is why we at Miss. Earth undertake initiatives that encourage people to become active in making Liberia clean and healthy.
Speaking during the cleanup exercise, the team leader said, this is just the beginning of series of activities for the contestants including visits to cultural and heritage sites in and around Monrovia.
The Miss. Earth Liberia is scheduled to be officially launched on February 15th at the Monrovia City Hall, Ball room at 7:00 PM. We are asking all of our families, friends, sponsors and fans to please turn out to support our project as we look forward to keeping our environment clean and healthy.
This year’s Miss. Earth Pageant is being organized by La Queen Entertainment in partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Theme: Angels of the Earth. The pageant consists of 14 beautiful contestants representing various elements of the earth. This year’s pageant is poised to be very competitive as there are 4 spots to be won.
