Additional five cases of the Coronavirus or COVID-19 have been confirmed in Maryland County, according to the County Health Officer (CHO), Dr. Mathodiuo George made the pronouncement on Thursday morning, July 9, 2020 in Harper City, Maryland County.
A dispatch from our Correspondent in the County, quoting health sources, said some of those who were confirmed positive included those who were part of the Maryland and RiverGee land dispute settlement which was held in Fish Town, where the Superintendent of River Gee, Philip Nyenuh was confirmed positive, while also others who were part of a training workshop for laboratory technicians were confirmed positive of the virus.
The CHO speaking further said Specimen results were returned from testing center in Monrovia proved that five persons tested positive for virus, and also explained that active cases 14, 1 recovered, 2 death total cases in Maryland county since the outbreak.
He called on everyone adhere to all the preventive measures of virus, noting, “Because the virus is Living with us in the Community, the Surveillance Team is currently doing investigations, and added that the County Superintendent George A. Prowd, GNN Correspondent in Maryland County, E. Varney Kamah and others who Specimen were taken are negative.
