Man ‘is stabbed in the throat during Morocco World Cup celebrations in Italy after team beat Portugal’

A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed in the throat during Morocco World Cup celebrations in Italy, reports indicate.
The unidentified victim, who appeared to be of North African decent, was attacked by an Eastern European man in Milan, witnesses told Rai News.
He was taken to hospital in red code and will now be intubated.
The stabbing came after approximately 5,000 Morocco fans took to the streets of Milan to celebrate the team’s 1-0 win over Portugal. The Atlas Lions now move on to the semi-finals.

Witnesses claim the man was injured during a celebration that saw thousands gathered on Corso Buenos Aires near Piazza Oberdan on Saturday night.
He was allegedly attacked after intervening in a fight, according to reports.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and later transported the wounded man to Polyclinic Hospital. Rai News claims he is in life-threatening condition.
Italian police have yet to confirm the incident, but are said to be present on scene.
