Liberian Man Held With Cocaine Worth Several United States Dollars In India

Police have registered a case under section 21(b)of NDPS Act and are investigating.

According to an online ‘Outlook’ platform from India, a Liberian national identified as a 41-year-old Julius Beford was on Monday, March 20, 2023 arrested at a beach village in North Goa, India, in possession of cocaine worth thousands of United States Dollars.

The online paper said the police had conducted a raid at Anjuna on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday and apprehended the accused, deputy superintendent of police Jivba Dalvi said.       

The accused Julius Beford (41) was found in possession of cocaine worth Rs 60,000 and was arrested under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
