Woman who beat her 4 years old son to death

(Lower Margibi, October 20, 2021): A 38-year-old woman identified as Garmah Sumo and mother of four Children has allegedly beaten her last son who is believed to be 4-year-old to death in district #2 Margibi County.

The incident took place on Tuesday October 19, 2021 in Bassa Community, Dolo Town Lower Margibi County.

Speaking to Reporters at the RIA Police deport in district #1, Margibi County, the allege mother of the deceased, Grace Sumo said she beat little Sheikh for “constantly toileting in the hallway of the house,” a situation according to her that annoyed her landlord.

Garmah explained that she used three broom of sticks to beat on little Sheikh before his death.

She said after beating him, she put him to sleep and when in the market to buy food upon her return she met his lifeless body lying down on the floor.

Madam sumo narrates that while trying to inform the deceased uncle about the situation, her landlord told the community dwellers that it was the beating she gives the boy that kill him the information according to her made angry crowd pursue her.

Meanwhile, nurses from the Dolo Town Health Center in Lower Margibi County had confirmed the death of little Sheikh and the Police has authorized the community dwellers to bury the remains of the deceased.

However, Garmah Sumo is currently at the RIA Police Detachment undergoing investigation.
