Speaker Bhofal Chambers Makes Huge Donation In Maryland County

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Bhofal Chambers on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, made a huge donation to the people of Maryland County, specifically the people of Pleebo, Sodoken District including several bags of rice and other items through his local office..
According to our Correspondent in the County, items presented by Mr. Wonder Wah Wonder Wah who is also officer of the Youth Empowerment in the office of the Speaker, included one hundred bags of 25 kg of rice to all the Chiefs of the Nyanbo towns around Pleebo Sodoken district.
During the presentation, Mr. Wah said although the Speaker is working actively with the National government to reduce the prices of the commodity (Rice) in the Country, he is pleased to identify with the chiefs of the Nyanbo community, and the county at large in the fight of this deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
Recently similar gesture was made by the Speak in the County when he donated two drums of fuel to the management of the J. J. Donsen Medical Hospital, and some preventive materials.
Speaking to reporters during the distribution, Mr. Wah indicated that the food will be distributed fairly among the Chiefs, noting that the items presented were put at over Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Liberian Dollars.
Receiving the Food items on behalf of the Chiefs, Chief Thomas H. Wilson extended thanks and appreciation to Speaker Chambers for his kind gesture, adding, “We are happy, and want to express our thanks and appreciation to him for his donation, and always remembering the chiefs of our traditional towns. Let God protect him and his local staffers here in Maryland County”, Chief Wilson speaking on behalf of the elders noted.
