Ruling Party Chairman, Mulbah Morlu, Jr. And Delegation In Maryland County

Ahead of the primaries of the ruling Coalition of Democratic Change ( CDC)  for the midterm senatorial elections scheduled for December, 2020, a high-power delegation headed by the National Chairman of the CDC, Mulbah Morlu, Jr. is in Maryland County.

According to GNN Correspondent in the County, the delegation arrived yesterday, July 18, 2020, and was joyously received by partisans of the CDC and other ordinary people in the county’s commercial city, Pleebo City.

Upon the arrival of the delegation, a brief welcome ceremony was held at the Pleebo City Hall, with a welcome statement read by the Superintendent of Maryland County, George A.Prowd who told Marylanders and CDcians that the presence of the National Chairman of CDC in Maryland County represents the President of The Republic of Liberia Dr. George Menah, Weah.

In his statement on behalf of the people of the county, Superintendent Prowd debunked reports on local radio stations that there will be no primaries held in the county amid the upcoming midterm senatorial elections, and further used the occasion to put to rest such rumors.

Speaking on behalf of his delegation, the CDC Chairman said his visit to Maryland County is to extend his gratitude to Marylanders and CDcians on behalf of President Weah for their Kind Support rendered him to be elected as President of the Republic of Liberia.

Chairman Morlu also used the occasion to dispelled speculation on the issue of a pending primaries to be held in the County, noting, “As National Chairman for the Coalition of Democratic Change (CDC ) Republic of Liberia, be informed that there will be a primary in Maryland County which will determine who the Party will support comes December 8, 2020 midterm Senatorial election.

He added that only CDcians will be allowed to participate in the upcoming primary, noting that non-CDCians will not be allowed to participate, and further called on all CDCIANS to vote a candidate who will not undermine the good work of the government. Mulbah Morlu also explained that CDcians should support any successful candidate in the primary senatorial election.

During the program Chairman Morlue presented some items to the County for the July 26, celebration, items presented included Weah Cup, Five Football, five sets of Jersey, and one thousand USD Cash, and further called on county authority to  organize an  Olympic games among the four districts in Maryland County where the first winter will receive One Hundred Thousand Liberian Dollars, and the  second winner will be giving, fifty thousand Liberian dollars.

On the issue of electricity in the county, Morlu  said the Liberia Electricity Cooperation operating in Maryland County and other local government officials who he noted are undermining the good work of the President will be brought to Justice.

Gracing the program was also the local CDC Chairman in the County, Otis Blay who extended thanks and appreciation to the National Chairman and his team for their kind visit in the County.
