LIBERIA: NEC Holds Montserrado County By-Elections Today, As Voters Challenge Heavy Down Pour Of Rains

Hundreds of residents of Montserrado County, some of whom who areas are flooded due to the heavy down pour rains are said to be on their way to their respective polling centers to elect the person of their choice for the positions of Representative or  Senator.

GNN reporter who toured most of the centers in Monrovia and its environs said many of the polling centers are witnessing poor turnout due to the rains, but in some areas, our reporters said despite of the rains some voters are making their way to their respective polling centers.

Some of the polling centers are facing leakages due to poor construction or damage zinc with some the voting materials are becoming faulting.

Several candidates are in the bad elections due to the deaths of some lawmakers including Representative Adolph Lawrence of Montserrado, District #15 and Montserrado County Junior Senator Geraldine Doe-Sheriff.
