LIBERIA: Mixed Reactions As Senate Committee On Health Concludes Plan On Legalizing Abortion

As report from Capitol Hill speaks of legalizing abortion of unborn babies, Senate Committee on Health is said to be concluding plan to revise the countryβs health law.
The Liberian Senate Committee on Health and Gender has announced that is concluding plan on the revised health law to legalize abortion in Liberia.
The disclosure was made by Senate Committee Chairman on Health and Gender, Senator Augustine Chea.
Senator Chea said his committee ended a debate into the revised Health Law in the Port City of Buchanan on the need for women to have rights to abortion.
He stated the law when fully finalized will give women the full rights and secured ways to abortion in the country.
However, there are mixed reactions from the public, with many calling on local radio stations condemning the planned action of the Liberian Senate.
