Liberia Medical Mission USA Vigorously Determines To provide Free Health Services To Liberia

(NEW YORK) – Liberians in the diaspora are said to be doing extremely well in catering to their fellow compatriots back home that are in desperate need of medical assistance, many of whom cannot and afford to cater to their own medical problem due to financial shortfall, and the lack of drugs at most of the Liberian medical centers, the Liberia Medical Mission (LMM) has taken the mantle to making the difference by coming to the rescue of these suffering Liberians in the area of health services.

Established few years ago, the Liberia Medical Mission comprised of Liberians residing in the United States of various professional backgrounds has over the years provided huge medical assistance to Liberia and other parts of West Africa for individuals who are suffering from various kinds of diseases, and cannot afford to address these medical challenges.

The head of the Mission, Joseph Sackor, and Roberta Williams; a member of the Mission speaking to an online platform, Focus on Liberia, said they are overwhelmed to humanitarianly health wise cater to their fellow compatriots (Liberians) and other West Africa citizens by providing free health services to them, noting that since its inception, the Mission has over the years shipped medical supplies backed with professional medical doctors and nurses to handle the health needs of these citizens, a situation they noted has gained a tremendous success.

Its quest of Providing free medical, ophthalmic and mental health services through mission trips to underserved communities in Liberia and other West African countries has been overwhelmingly appreciated; domestically being graciously supported by the local population in Southwest Philadelphia and other parts of Pennsylvania in the United States with free healthcare screening and workshops huge has been admired in Liberia and other West Africa sub region.

Besides providing free medical services in Africa, the Liberia Medical Mission also provide mentorship for young immigrants who are desirous of becoming healthcare workers and ongoing health maintenance education to Liberian and West African communities in the United States; updates health education and training for Liberian and West African health care workers across the health care continuum.

With the humanitarian efforts being applied by this diaspora Liberian organization, one would wonder as to its nationalistic gesture, which worth million words of praises, grading high and appreciating the master planners of this US based NGO for its commitment of bringing medical relief of Liberians and other nationalities of West Africa.

Our staff who visited the loading site of the Mission in Philadelphia, the United States was indeed impressed when he saw the momentum of Liberians loading huge containers contained modern medical equipment and drugs to be shipped to Liberia intended to be distributed freely to the most needy, coupled with the arrival of professional medical doctors and nurses to Liberia to provide free medical services under the auspice of the Mission.

The anticipation of Liberians back home for the arrival of the Mission in Monrovia, the capital for its free medical services is in high gear, and many of these who cannot afford to cater to their health needs are always rescued whenever the Liberia Medical Mission team arrives, noting that their quest to welcoming the Team on the soil of Liberia once again will highly be appreciated.

Some beneficiaries of the generosity of the Mission in Liberia who spoke to the GNN called on the Liberian government to provide all the needy assistance, including ‘Duty Free’ privileges  to the team of the Liberia Medical Mission (LMM) in its bid to providing free medical services to hundreds of Liberians who have been strangulated due to the lack of funds to cater to their health needs.
