Memorialization of the Late Gabriel Nyenati Wilson popularly known as “Executive Horn” will take place at the National Museum on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 9:00 am. Gabriel died in a tragic accident involving the motorcade of the President of Liberia on Sunday, February 10, 2019.
The memorable event has been organized by Media Hub Liberia, a private media company in Liberia in collaboration with the Ministry of Information Cultural Affairs &Tourism (MICAT) and the Wodeabo of Gbedewein Maryland County.
During the extraordinary occasion, Media Hub Liberia and MICAT will dedicate, and put on display in the National Museum parts of the broken “Executive Horn”, the native gown she wore hooting the horn at official functions, and a portrait of him hooting the horn. Other relics to be showcased are a copy of the 2012 edition of the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs’ monthly magazine called:“Executive Horn”, the utensils he ate from, and the Eulogy of his framed and donated by Media Hub Liberia.
The objective of the ceremony is to venerate Gabriel for his invaluable contribution to the promotion of Liberia’s art, culture and politics by tooting the horn from rural Maryland County at the tender age 14 years through to the echelon of Liberia’s political power where he popularized blaring the traditional communication tool after Liberia’s Presidents including President George Manneh Weah when they addressed key national functions.
An array of guests including Government officers and Diplomats will attend the dedication expected to be performed by State for Presidential Affairs Minister, Nathaniel McGill.
