LIBERIA: Lofa County By-Election Is Ready, As Over 200K Ballot Papers Arrive

The National Elections Commission (NEC) has publicly announced the arrival of over two hundred thousand ballot papers arrive in Liberia ahead of delayed Lofa County Senatorial by-elections.

The National Elections Commission has announced the arrival of Ballots papers in  Country, for the conduct of Lofa County Senatorial By-election.

Addressing a major press conference Tuesday, NEC Chairperson David-Etta Brown Lansanah disclosed that a total of 254,100 ballot papers arrived in the country on Monday, June 13 via the Roberts international Airport.

The NEC Boss however stated that though the National Legislature has set June 28, 2022 as the new date for the conduct of the by-election, the NEC is yet to receive a joint resolution from the Legislature regarding the new date.
