LIBERIA: LAA Assessment Team In Maryland, Visits Rock town Airport

An assessment team from the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) is in Maryland County to see how best the airport could be improved in its service delivery.
The Rock Town Airport is the second largest airport in Liberia, situated Harper District, Maryland County and is expected to be revamped by the Government of Liberia in collaboration with its partners.

The team was received by the Superintendent of the County, George A. Prowd Friday, April 16, 2021 aimed at assessing the ground in order to put in place how best the reconstruction of the airport could be adhered.
Superintendent Prowd welcomed the team and expressed excitement about the project noting, “May the effort of the Government of Liberia and partners come through in order to make the second largest Airport project a successful one. God bless”.
According to reports, the construction of the airport started in 1977 by the late Liberian President, William R. Tolbert, Jr.
