LIBERIA: Jlazon Light Women Honors Rep. Tibelrosa Tarponweh, Describes Him As Developmental sensitive

The women of the Jlazon Light Community within the Mambahn Administrative District have honored Margibi-Electoral District #1 Lawmaker, Representative Tibelrosa Summoh Tarponweh for his dedicated and outstanding contributions towards developing District #1, Margibi County.
The women group ceremonially presented to Representative Tarponweh a nanny goat as a sign of appreciation.
Speaking Friday, January 1, 2021 at the Lawmaker’s honoring program held by the women group in the Jlazon Light Community, the women Chairlady-Nounou Sharty described the Lawmaker as a “true developmental person”.
Madam Sharty highlighted Representative Tarponweh’s advocacy role played in making sure that the Israel Community and other surrounding communities are electrified.
She recounted the construction and rehabilitation of several feeder roads within the Mambahn Administrative District by the Margibi County Lawmaker, including the ongoing construction of the thirteen kilometer feeder road.
“We‘ve called you here today to honor you and present to you a nanny goat. Traditionally, it indicates that you are very productive and developmental. Our women group have been following your workings. Your Office rehabilitated many feeder roads, including the Goshen community road, the road linking Kaifa Town through Civil Compound to Goahr Town and the road corridor from FDA Junction through the Samuel Kanyon Doe Estate to the end of the New Life Community”, Madam Sharty explained.
Praising Representative Tarponweh for his supports towards women and youths empowerment, she added: “We’ve followed how you assisted in the establishment of the First Choice Women Vocational Training School within the EBK Barracks in Schiefflin Township. You also donated hundreds of thousands Liberian Dollars for youths and women empowerment within your district”.
Receiving the gift from the women group, the Margibi County District #1 Lawmaker lauded the women for the stance they took in recognizing his efforts over the periods.
Representative Tarponweh vowed to closely work with the women group in fostering developments within their community.
“I am impressed that you are recognizing our efforts. We are into this [politics] to provide service to our people. I am your humble servant. Continue to encourage us to do more for you”, Representative Tarponweh appreciated the women.
“When women are involved into something, it encourages others to get involved. My Office will work closely with you to implement major projects within your community. Our Government is very challenged. We will use the little resources we have to improve the living condition of our people”.
The Jlazon Light Community is located along the Redlight-Kakata Highway within the Mambahn Administrative District, Lower Margibi County.
In 2020, Representative Tibelrosa Summoh Tarponweh was also the lead advocate against Firestone redundancy, which was anticipated to affect over 374 employees from the Company’s Estate Department.
He headed lots of Legislative Investigative Committee that had probed the operations of companies operating in Liberia, including the APM Terminal, Sime Darby Plantation Company and the SSF Company.
