LIBERIA: Health Ministry, Partners Distribute Mosquito Nets In Maryland County

The Team Distributing the Nets

The Health Team of Maryland County and Partners in their bid to save the public from mosquitos and mosquito related illnesses has begun the distribution of consignment of Mosquito Nets to the residents of Harper City, Maryland County, according to GNN Correspondent in the County.

The distribution exercise which took place on Thursday, June 24, 2021, under the theme: “Sleep under the Net, Everywhere and Every Night “, brought together hundreds of beneficiaries who lauded the team for their health concern.

During the launching program Maryland County Acting Inspector K. Hodo Clarke on behalf of the local authority, welcomed the partners and cautioned the distributors to be sincere with the distribution process across the county.

For his part,  the National Malaria Control Program Supervisor Stanford Thomas, noted that the  National Malaria Control Program through a grant from the Global Funds, brought received 2.7 million insecticide treated nets for the purpose of conducting a nationwide mosquito nets distribution.
