LIBERIA: Guinean Stabs Fulani To Death In West Point Township
A Guinean national identified as Samad Salayu, 30, has been arrested by police for allegedly stabbing one Alpha Jalloh, a Fulani aged 31, to death.
According to the Liberia National Police (LNP), suspect Salayu allegedly stabbed Jalloh on Tuesday morning in the Township of West Point where they both reside.
The LNP said victim Jalloh was rushed to the John F. Kennedy Memorial hospital in Sinkor where he was pronounced dead on arrival by doctors.
After committing the crime, suspect Salayu was reportedly beaten by an angry mob and was also taken to the John F Kennedy Memorial Hospital where he was treated, discharged and turned over to the Crime Services Division (CSD) of the LNP.
LNP Deputy Chief for Press and Public Affairs, Anthony K.Nyanlue, told the Liberia News Agency on Wednesday that suspect Salayu will be forwarded to court following the CSD interrogation.
