Liberia Gets ‘Brand New’ Airport Terminal, As President Weah Lauds Former President Johnson-Sirleaf For The Initiative
Liberians and foreign residents who graced the dedication of Liberia’s modern airport terminal were overwhelmed as they poured praises on the Chinese company that spearheaded the construction, and the initiative of former Liberian leader, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for her dream that came through, bringing pride to the nation’s Roberts International Airport.
For his part, President George Manneh Weah who also expressed gratitude to the government of the People’s Republic of China urging the management team of the airport that these modern airport facilities will be maintained to its fullest, and further bragged that an additional wing of the terminal will be constructed by his government in the near future.
The Liberian leader further paid tribute to the former Liberian leader, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf for her initiative in the construction of these modern facilities which he noted have brightened the face of Liberia for travelers coming to Africa’s oldest republic, Liberia.
Today’s dedication formed part of festivities leading up to the 172 Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Liberia by the Liberian leader, later on as the ongoing activities continue, President Weah also dedicated a huge ministerial complex which was also constructed by a Chinese company.
