LIBERIA: Gbehzohngar Findley Receives Blessing From His Kinsmen Amid Senatorial Bid

As the 2020 special senatorial election draws near, Liberia’s Former Foreign Minister Milton Gbehzohngar Findley has accepted several petitions from the people of Grand Bassa County to contest the upcoming Special Senatorial election.
Hundreds of citizens flooded the streets of Buchanan on August 18, 2020, to listen to the response of Hon. Gbehzohngar Findley after several weeks of cessation.
Inhabitants from the five electoral districts of the county matched from the Monrovia junction in Buchanan to the Unification Pavilion were the former lawmaker official accepted the petition.
Findley said, “I have come to tell you that the president of the Republic of Liberia has agreed for me to return to you and work for you”.
He furthered “I want to let you know that you cry for development and good leadership has been listened to and I have come to contest for the upcoming 2020 senatorial election”.
On July 2, some Traditional leaders of Grand Bassa Country petitioned Former Minister Findley to contest the pending senatorial election.
The traditional leaders were headed by the chief Grand Zoe of Grand Bassa Edward Garmah.
In their portion statement, the traditional leaders said that they evaluated all of the aspirants and they feel that the former senator is best suited to replace incumbent Nyonblee Kangar Lawrence.
The traditional leaders have been hopeful of obtaining a fruitful response from the former senator for days but their hope was actualized after the former senator excepted the contest the upcoming senatorial seat in the county.
Gbehzohngar Findley who once served as senator of the county for 9 years , was massively defeated by current senator Jonathan Kaipay during the 2014 Senatorial election.
