Speaking at the ceremony, the National Strategist of the Friends of Paul Wesay, Josiah Greene said there is a need for the pandemic, which has wide spread in the country to be tackled in order to defeat it.

The campaign is intended to help prevent the wide spread of Covid-19 most especially from the people who are selling in the various markets because they are the direct contacts of the pandemic.

Mr. Greene: “We saw this to target various market areas, because we saw it as a need to distribute to marketers; the next ones will be the motorcyclists and car drivers.”

According to him, the Friends of Wesay is an organization that has a vision for the country, be it political, social or non-political to Liberians to see Liberia as a better country.

He called on every Liberian to use the noise masks, hand sanitizers, keep social distancing, take advantage of the vaccine and believe that CoVid-19 is real.

For his part, Victor J. Garnett, FOW’s Chairman said the distribution of the masks is intended to help with the fight against the killer disease that is ravaging the world.

“We targeted market women, students and motorcyclists because in our view, they are the most vulnerable groups,” Mr. Garnett said.

He disclosed that the distribution will run from August 11-21, 2021.

The project is funded by Mr. & Mrs. Paul S. Wesay who are the vision bearers of FOW.
