Former Liberian Vice President Joseph Boakai attributes the backwardness of Liberia to persistent practice of corruption by the Coalition for Democratic Change led-government
Ambassador Boakai said many of those who speak against corruption are usually the corrupt people in the society.
He stated that corruption has been spoken about throughout Liberia, but past governments have failed to deal with corruption.
The former ruling Unity Party Standard Bearer vowed to fight the menace if elected president of Liberia come 2023 general elections.
