LIBERIA: Fire Disaster Hits Buzzy Quarter Community In Central Monrovia

More than 22 people have been made homeless as a result of fire disaster in Buzzy quarter community, district #8 Montserrado County

Victims of a recent Fire incident in Buzzy Quarter Community, District #8 Montserrado County are seeking humanitarian gesture from national government and other well-meaning Liberians.

At about 5PM on Saturday, June 18, three houses gutted fire in Buzzy Quarter Community, leaving more than 22 people homeless including women and children. The fire was put-off by the Liberian national Fire Service.

In an interview with OK FM Wednesday, the homeless residents’ explained that they noticed intense smoke from the back of one of the houses while their children were asleep.

They noted that due to the intensity of the fire, their belongings including mattresses, clothes and other wearing, as well as refrigerators, television, and money all burned to ashes.
