LIBERIA: Diaspora Kplio Citizens Give To Kinsmen In Grand Kru County

In an effort to give support to community, the Kplio citizens in the Diaspora has made available 220 of 25kg bags of rice to the Kplio community in Grand County.
The donation was made to the Kplio people on Monday September 28, 2020 in Barclayville Seedee compound in Grand Kru through the committee members that was setup by the Kplio citizens in the Diaspora.
The communities benefited from the 220 of 25kg bags of rice are the four sections of the Kplio communities in the county.
Those communities include the Flennehken community, the Topoh community, the Suehn community and the Gbalakpo community.
The Kplio Community in the Diaspora is an organization founded by citizens of Kplio, with an aim of making a channel that will convey citizens of the community together as a unit and to serve up as a sympathetic arm for home-based citizens in Liberia.
The organization, with center of operations in the United States of America donated 220 of 25kg bags of rice that worth over $990,000.00 Liberian Dollars.
Presenting the 220 of 25kg bags of rice at Afrad Boe business center in Barclayville city, Winnie Mah Nyanti Sr. said the donation of the 220 of 25kg bags of rice is a part of the organization’s supportive projects to the home-based Kplio communities in the county.
Head of the Kplio people said, it has being the desire of the community to see their children in the Diaspora giving back to the home-based.
Winnie Mah Nyanti noted that the donation was intended as helping to fight against coronavirus, something he said was worrisome.
He narrated that since the epidemic of the coronavirus the people of the Kplio have been fining it complicated to have other activities done in the county.
Mr. Nyanti believes that, the 220 of 25kg bags of rice received will be distributed among communities across the various four sections of the Kplio communities noting that it is the organization’s own way of indentifying with their people in Grand kru amid the fight against the deadly coronavirus.cue in.
The Spokesperson of the Kplio community is encouraging other citizens of different ethnic groups in the Diaspora to follow similar examples; adding it will aid government’s efforts in human resource development.
Winnie Mah Nyanti further stated that, the issue of togetherness’ should be seen among the Kplio communities in the county after the distribution of the rice to set in motion of Grand Kru developments.
In response, speaking to a term of journalists during the delivery process in Grand Kru County, Suehn representative Jerry D. Koffa commended the Kplio Community in the Diaspora for the kind gesture.
Jerry D. Koffa at the same time urged the organization to remain supportive and avid as a unit to achieve their objectives.
He also said the 220 of 25kg bags of rice received from their children in the Diaspora will help in buttressing the Liberian government in the fight against the coronavirus, adding that the rice will be share equally across the four Kplio communities in Grand Kru.
Speaking on behalf of the Topoh community, Kun S. Wesseh urged the citizens of Grand Kru County to emulate from other counties in Liberia to develop Grand Kru County.
Kun S. Wesseh trashed that, the matter of developing the county need the involvement of all citizens in and outside with united to ensure infrastructural developments to be pointed out in the County.
Meanwhile, the representative of the Gbalakpo community James Jeh Doe spokesman of the Gbalakpo community in a statement said, he was so overwhelmed to received give from their children in the United States of America to remember them as fathers after the fourteen years of civil crisis including the current COVID-19 crisis in Liberia something he said will show unity among the Kplio communities in Grand Kru.

He thanked the citizens in the United States for the kind gesture rethread but reminded them to see infrastructural developments as their key priority to Grand Kru.
