LIBERIA: Defense Ministry Releases 65th Armed Forces Day Anniversary Calendar

The Ministry of National Defense has released the calendar of activities marking the observance of the 65th anniversary of  the  Armed Forces Day in the country.

Assistant Defense Minister for Public Affairs, Sam Collins disclosed that the Armed Forces Day celebration under the theme: “Inter Agency Cooperation as a Panacca for Contemporary Security Challenges,”  will be observed with the former ECOWAS Ambassador to Liberia, Ambassador Tunde Ajisomo delivering the keynote speech on February 11, 2022 at the Barclay Training Center.

Addressing a press conference in Monrovia, Minister Collins added that as part of activities leading to the celebration, there will be a symposium on the theme: “Enhancing the Security of Liberia and Comprehensive Approach,”  with the President of the Liberia National Law Enforcement Association, Cecil Grifiths serving at the keynote speaker. at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town.

According to him, the discussants at the symposium are Justice Minister Counselor Frank Musa Dean, Eddie Jarwolo of the Naymote Partner for Democracy development,  Finance Minister Samuel Tweah, Senator Steve Zargo among others.

Minister Collins pointed out that the symposium will be followed by jummar service  at the Caldwell Mosque February 4, while the thanksgiving service will be held at the Winner  Chapel International in Congo Town on February 6, 2022.
