LIBERIA: Criminal Court ‘D’ To Sentence Notorious Armed Robber, Alvin Lewis To 10 Years

The Judge of Criminal Court ‘D’ at the Temple of Justice on Capitol Hill,  Mameita Jabateh-Sirleaf has sentenced notorious armed robber Alvin Lewis to  ten years imprisonment at the Monrovia central prison.

According to the ruling of the Judge today, Friday, 23 June 2023, the conviction of Alvin Lewis came following a weeklong trial which brought him down guilty, noting that a pre-sentencing report from the Ministry of justice also confirmed that the convicted felon Alvin Lewis is a notorious criminal that have been committing multiple crimes including armed robbery in the Sinkor belt.

Meanwhile Judge Mameita Jabateh-Sirleaf has reserved rulings in prosecution’s bill of information filed with the court seeking to correct the improper implementation of a supreme court’s mandate by  her predecessor, stating that judges of concurrent jurisdiction cannot review judicial action taken by its predecessor.
