LIBERIA: Criminal Court Charges US Citizen With Simple Assault
Monrovia City Court Judge Jomah Jallah has reportedly charged an American citizen with simple assault against a young Liberian lady who is his sister.
The defendant was charged in the Liberian Criminal court on December 30, 2021 presided over by Judge Jomah S. Jallah where the defendant’s bond was stood by Hon. Solomon George and he was set free to return on Jan. 3, 2022. On Jan 3, 2022, the defendant Mr. Raynold A Mitchell Jr. was held in contempt of court for not showing up to court and might be on the run from justice.
This case has now been sent for trial on Jan. 6, 2022 at 11am. The Gender Ministry through the Women Empowerment Division will be represented at the trial by it’s Director Mrs. Selena Y. Siaffa-Saypay.
It’s interesting to know the connection between Hon. Solomon George and this fugitive that he would stand his bond to allow him to be free after being accused of such violence against a young lady.
