LIBERIA: As Traditional Leaders Threaten To Arrest Bong County Senator, Senator Moye Says He’s Prepared

Following report that some members of the National Traditional Council of Liberia are threatening to arrest Bong County Senator, Prince Moye for interfering in their affairs in the county, the Senator says he will not be deterred of frightened in doing his job as required by law.

He argued that he has constitutional authority to exercise oversight and ensure  MNG Gold provide benefits in accordance with the agreement entered into with the people of Kokoyah.

Senator Moye was reacting to some members of the Bong County National Traditional Council of Liberia this week threatened to arrest for allegedly interfering with traditional activities in Liberia such statement publicly rejected by the Senator distances himself from the allegation

The inspector general for cultural and traditional affairs at the Traditional Council of Chiefs and Elders has threatened to arrest Bong County Senator Prince Moyee for allegedly interfering with traditional activities.

Philip Kollie alleged that during the Senator recent visit in the county, he mandated the bush masters to intimidate MNG group of company workers on grounds that the company should provide benefits in their interest.
