LIBERIA: As Bong Citizens Overwhelm Of Oil Discovery, DECCO Oil and Gas Clarifies

The management  of DEECO Oil and Gas has publicly clarified that the report of oil been discovered in Bong County, central Liberia is yet to be confirmed, as the management says it is alarmed of media report attributing to it about the report.

Over the past few days, local media has been reporting that the DEECO Oil and Gas , a Nigerian mining company has discovered crude oil in that part of the country making many residents and citizens to be in high gear that their area has been targeted for such fortune.

But the DEECO Oil and Gas management says such report which was widely circulated in the media was indeed untrue, setting the record straight, with the DEECO Oil and Gas saying it is shocked by the news in the media, “The Chairman of the DEECO Oil and Gas said oil has been found in Gbarnga’ ‘I want to make this categorically clear that I went to Gbarnga to examine the land where we are trying we are trying to carry out reconnaissance, no oil has been discovered yet,” the DEECO Oil and Gas  official clarified to a local daily.
