As 2023 Election Draws Closer, Police Arrest Individuals For Allegedly Falsifying Liberian Citizenship ID Cards

According to the FaceBook page of the Liberia National Police (LNP) has reportedly forwarded to court two persons including a Ghanaian for allegedly falsifying Liberian identification cards.

Those arrested by the LNP include, a Ghanaian National, Alphonso Okai, 47, a resident of Mechlin Street, Harper City, and another only identified as Morris, 28 years old, also a resident of Pleebo City, Maryland County. They suspects were arrested and duly investigated.

According to the report, the police through their investigation also confiscated the equipment that was used in the process of printing the citizenship identification  cards.

In view of the foregoing and coupled with available evidences, the two men were duly charged with economic sabotage, and forgery after which they were forwarded to court for prosecution.
