LIBERIA: AML Train Heading To Buchanan Gutted By Fire

(LINA) – A train owned by world steel giant Arcelor-Mittal, has been gutted by fire around Sanniqiillie City in Nimba County.

The incident occurred during the late morning hours of Thursday, March 17, while the AML locomotive loaded with iron ore was en route to the port city of Buchanan in Grand Bassa County.

There is no report of human casualty yet, as the company is yet to speak to the public about the incident. It is still unclear what led to the fire outbreak, but report says authorities of the Liberia National Police are investigating to ascertain the cause of the incident
