With the academic school year 2020/2021 is preparing to commence,one hundred plus students from primary schools in Montserrado County and other parts continue are said to be benefiting for chool assistance from Kareya’s Gift, a local NGO established in 2015.
Kareya’s Gift Liberia’s Representative Rev. Francis Kollie in a chat with the GNN Liberia said the non for profit organization focuses on the provision of school support through payment of fees and academic materials.
The organization operates in Montserrado, Grand Bassa, Margibi, Nimba and Bong counties.
Rev. Kollie noted that Kareya’s Gift sponsored less fortunate children of school going age by assisting them with book bags, copybooks, shoes, uniforms, pens, pencils, as well as nose masks and preventive measures for the deadly COVID-19.
Distribution of these educational materials were done after the donation to parents, guardians and the students themselves to at the offices of Prison Fellowship Liberia in Congo town.
The Liberian clergyman urged the students, parents and guardians to take advantage of the Kareya’s Gift academic assistance program which provides health, counseling, and other benefits from the students.
Rev. Kollie assured that the number of students benefiting from the school assistance program from Kareya’s Gift could increase as anticipated by parents and students once their donor support is forth coming.
Rev. Kollie, also Executive Director of Prison Fellowship pledged renewed commitment to providing financial and material support to the academic sojourn of Liberia student through sound and quality education.
Rev. Kollie said the Prison Fellowship and Keyara’s Gift, as an institution with Christian background, installed Christian values and disciples in the young generation something he termed as paramount on their agenda.
He challenged all well-meaning Liberians and institutions to support the education and health sectors to ensure Liberian children have the needed attention for proper and healthy upbringing.
Rev. Kollie added that their partnership focuses on children’s education, health and shelter, while stressing the government alone cannot to all to meet the needs of Liberians and foreigners alike.
“This program is of serious essence to the human growth and development as it seeks to restore the hope and dignity of Liberian children by providing health care services and education among others.
Rev. Kollie recounted that some of their students have graduated from high schools and through lobby with international donor partners they can attend institutions of higher learning Liberia, while others can have the opportunity to travel and continue their academic sojourn in other parts of the world through students exchange program.
Kareya’s Gift Liberia’s Representative at the same time used the occasion to prasied their foreign partners for the continuous support to providing quality and sound education for Liberian children as well as other benefits to make sure they become productive citizens to positively impact their families, communities and country Liberia.
Some parents of the students benefiting from Kareya’s Gift assistance the extolled for the organization for such program which seeks to give their children a better and brighter future.
Parents of the beneficiary students of Kareya’s Gift expressed joy that the program continues to significantly help address financial obligations for their children especially with the current economic challenges they are faced with in the country.
