In Rivercess: Rep Schaack Receives Overwhelming Applauds … As Citizens, Caucus Vow To Unit In Fostering Development

Rivercess District #1 Rep. Rosana GDH Schaack has concluded phase II of a series of appreciations to her citizens for electing her as their lawmaker.

The program which is phase II of appreciation took place in Neezuoin, District #1 Rivercess County and brought together hundreds of citizens from Neezuoin and its surrounding.

Amidst jubilation and celebration, several citizens who attended the program were seen in joyous mood as the ceremony went on.

“This is the first time for a lawmaker who has won an election to return home to tell her people thank you,” an elderly woman stated.

“This won’t be forgotten, we will tell this to our generations, even the unborn ones will get to know what has happened,” she averred.

As Senator Dallas Gweh, Paramount Chiefs Koffi Zah and William T. Dennis and Superientdant Birkmirt Karbiah took to the podium in separate occasion, the jammed packed Neezuoin got quiet, a mood which provided opportunity for the citizens to listen.

“Madam Schaack, you have done something very wonderful, the step taken by you to come and at least say thank you to our people is welcoming, I am honored by this Honorable,” Senator Gweh stated.

“Today is also one of the historic moments in the history of Rivercess County, to see a the entire County’s Leadership present at a single program is laudable; even, former aspirants in attendance as well,” he averred.

For his part, Rivercess County Superintendent Karbiah called on all citizens of the county to trust them.

According to him, Hon. Schaack has done extremely well to receive the praises of her citizens. He further that instead of Hon. Schaack appreciating the citizens, they (the citizens) should in return give her the flowers due her as according to him, it takes a leader to do what Rep. Schaack has done.

Both Paramount Chiefs Koffi Zah and William T. Dennis called on the citizens of the District stand with lawmaker as takes of the District to Legislature.

Meanwhile, Rep. Schaack lauded the citizens’ participation in the developmental drive of the District. She further that for too long the citizens have suffered linking behind basic development in the country.

She further assured the citizens of her office commitment to ensuring a transparent and accountable leadership, which according to her, the issue of accountability and transparency remain key to the development and growth of any society.

She concluded by calling on the citizens to join her efforts in implementing on most of these issues, “this is the time for all of us work in achieving the good of our district, we need to champion the cost of development, because this starts with all of us, and continues with us,” she stated.

However, several elders, women groups and youths attending the thanksgiving program have lauded the lawmaker for her frantic effort in championing their plight.

According to the citizens, this was the first for a lawmaker to return home to at least thank the citizens for voting for her.

Also speaking at the occasion, Doedain District Commissioner Jones Nagbo lauded Representative Schaack for at least returning home to appreciate her citizens. According to Commissioner Nagbo, the need for basic development remains one of the major challenges affecting the District.

For his part, Doedain Statutory Superintendent Joseph Robertson want the lawmaker unit the citizens. He said, during the elections, there were several bitterness on the parts of the citizens ranging from campaign slogans and speeches.

He said the need to unite the was important since according to him, the elections were over and the need to come together aimed at developing the county and District has now remained as one of the top priorities.

He hailed the lawmaker for her willingness to working alongside the County’s Caucus and the local government authorities which has cemented a cordial working relationship amongst them.

Meanwhile, those who attended the first thanksgiving program in Karngbo were Jacob C. Charlie, Morris Dehbah, Tom Boweh, Philip Gedeh, Clan Chief Alfred Dahn, and Chief Zarque, Sundaygar Whologlo of the Bah Clan.

Others are William T. Dennis, Clan Chief of Duah Clan Abraham Railey, Vah Mentee, Catherine Yarbah, Acting Clan Chief of Central Moweh, Robert D. Jacob, Elizabeth Aballah, and Daniel Benson, all of Central Moweh.
