In an exclusive with CGTN’s Wang Guan in Dubia at the ongoing COP28, the Liberian leader, President George Manneh Weah has publicly expressed thanks and appreciation to the people and government of China
The interview which went viral on international wires talked to the Liberian leader who recently conceded defeat during the just ended Liberian election also shared his feelings and expectations of COP28, his outlook of relations with China, and extended gratitude to Chinese football fans.
President George Weah also known as “King George” by football fans, captured series awards including African Footballer of the Year three times, FIFA World Player of the Year, the first African to win the Ballon d’Or.
The AC Milan legend is also the first football player in history to become a president.
