House Speaker Orders ‘Immediate’ Probe Of Three Lawmakers For Opposing His Leadership

The House of Representatives has ordered its committee on Rules, Orders and Administration to investigate three lawmakers opposing the leadership of Speaker Bhofal Chambers.

Representatives Yekeh Kolubah, Adolph Lawrence and Nagbe Sloh are accused of bringing the House of Representatives to public disrepute.

They were also accused of falsely accusing the speaker and some members of the house of corruption, disturbing session and calling the speaker a Togolese.

The lower house decision followed a communication from a supporter of the Speaker, Representative Munah Pelham Youngblood.

Three Representatives recently accused the Speaker and his team of diverting gasoline for members of the house, budget manipulation and described the speaker of not being fit to lead that building.

Plenary also mandate all lawmakers not to speak to the press on the matter or risk being investigated for bringing the house to public ridicule.

The Committee was asked to report to the plenary of the house in two week for possible subsequent action against them.

Meanwhile, one those ordered to be Investigated, Representative Lawrence has vowed not to submit himself to any investigation that is intended to silent their opposing views in session.

The committee is expected to report back to plenary in one week.
