In observing of Eid al-Fitr by the Liberian Muslims, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, a team from Global Tracking and Maritime Solution visited five Mosques in close proximity to its headquarters donated several bags of rice for their pleasurable celebration of the Holy Ramadan.
Mr. Woodrow Mentar, Jr, Chairman of the Social Corporate and Welfare committee who headed the delegation started the distributions at the Gibraltar Central Mosque in the Vai Town Community amid praises from the recipients.
Speaking on behalf of the Muslims in the area, the caretaker Mr. Mohammed V. Kanneh expressed thanks and appreciation to the management of GTMS on behave of his Iman and their congregation for on the Mosque for its thoughtfulness.
At the end of the exercises, the GMTS team also met with Iman Laye at the Paco Yard Mosque in the Freeport Community and expressed his Managing Director’s interest of presenting a tithe to the Islamic community as she is also observing the month of Ramadan.
Iman Laye further expressed his gratitude as well as to the GTMS management, and asked for Allah’s blessings and favor upon the institution for remembering them indicating that the donation was timely taking into consideration the prayers will be done tomorrow.
Eid al-Fitr is a major holiday at the conclusion of Ramadan, meaning “Festival of the Breaking of the Fast.” The exact date of the holiday can be found on the calendar of important Islamic dates. In 2024, Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on the 10th of April, 2024
